Slaughter Movie House: 'There's Nothing Out There!'

This is yet another screening I have Justin Beahm to thank for setting up.  We were discussing that the most fun films to watch with a group are the silly, gory, and over-the-top flicks.  He suggested one of his favorites, There's Nothing Out There (1991) by Rolfe Kanefsky.  Justin asked Rolfe if we could play it and the rest is history.  I hadn't seen it, so I waited until that night to experience it with everyone else and it was worth it!

We also screened, The Giant Rubber Monster Movie, a short by Thomas Berdinski.  I first saw the film back in October, while we were setting up for Horror on the Boulevard.  'Rubber Monster' features the amazing girls of Midnight Mausoleum, Robyn Graves and Marlena Midnight.  It is exactly how it sounds, hilarious.  And I had a feeling it would be a perfect match with TNOT!

I don't do this alone, I get so much help in making these events special.  Last minute, Allied Marketing offered us a lot of MAMA swag.  They gave us passes to an advanced screening of the film and t-shirts!  As you can see on the beautiful flyer, designed by Erica Kauffman of Atomic Cotton, we accepted donations for sCare Foundation. Justin is on the board for this non-profit that supports at-risk youth and the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.  Check out the rest of the photos HERE.
